I mai måned er det Auri Ahola og Katja Gauriloff som har opphold i Lásságámmi.

Inari Sámi dance artist Auri Ahola and Skolt Sámi film director Katja Gauriloff will work on the script for Gauriloff's next film at the Lásságámmi residency in May. The film has strong movement elements that will be incorporated into the scripting phase. This is the first collaboration between Ahola and Gauriloff.

A PhD project in Duodji and Artistic Research at Sámi allaskuvla and Oslo National Art Academy

Under oppholdet på Lásságámmi vil jeg jobbe utforskende med å spinne og sy med senetråd av rein og ferdigstille min del av et samarbeidsprosjekt med en kunstner. Videre vil jeg spinne med håndtein for å lage tråd av reinsener og kobberfilamenter og utvikle teknikken botanical printing. Alle er deler av den kunstneriske utviklingsprosessen i mitt forskningsprosjekt.

During my stay at Lásságámmi I will work with spinning thread of reindeersinew, explore with stitches and complete my part of an artpiece I do in collaboration with an artist. I will spin the spindle to make thread with reindeersinew and copperfilaments and develop the technique of botanical printing. All are part of the artistic processes of my research project.
